レーという街にやってきました。
ラダック地方の中心地であり、チベット色がかなり強い街。
ここを拠点にゴンパ巡り、トレッキングをする旅人が多いようである。
ここは標高3650m。空気がとても薄く、紫外線が強いです。山々に囲まれ、景色はとてもきれいです。I came to the town of Leh.
This town is the center of Ladakh, and have strong Tibetan culture.
I guess most of the travelers coming here visit Gompas or trek around Ladakh.
The altitude here is 3650m.
Air is very thin, ultraviolet light is strong.
Surrounded by mountains, the scenery is very beautiful.
マナリーからのバスは街の南部にあるバスターミナルに到着した。ここからメインバザールまで500m強、安宿が集まるといわれるChangspa通りまでは1km程度。Bus from Manari arrived at the bus terminal in the southern part of the town.From here over 500m to the main bazaar,and about 1km to Changspa load, which is said to cheap hotel to attend.標高が高いので辛かったけど、タクシーは使わず、宿を探した。ここ、レーにはリクシャーがなく、割高なタクシーを使うほかないのです。探すだけでなく、迷いもしたため、1時間くらい歩き回ったのです。。。It was hard even walking because of the high altitude, but we didn't hire a taxi, and looked for accommodation on foot.Here, there is no Rikusha, so if we don't want to walk, we have no choice but to hire an expensive taxi.In order to not only looking for a accommodation,, we were lost, and it took us about an hour to find the accomodation.
メインバザールと呼ばれる通りは、恐らくレーの中心地。
工事中のようにも見えるが、人通りは多かった。

そして、スーパーのような商店もあった。
We found a shop like a super market.
それから、この通りには恐らくレーで唯一の鉄道の予約をしてくれる旅行代理手があった。
And there is a travel agent which is probably only one that can reserve the railway ticket in the town.
Changspa通り周辺には旅行会社や、お土産屋さんが集まっていた。
There are travel agencieds and souvenir shop gathered in Changspa Road neighborhood.
レー南部にある大きなマニ車付近にはMoti Marketがあった。
庶民の集まるマーケットという印象だった。
There is "Moti Market" in south of Leh near a big prayer wheel.
It lookes like the market for local people.
バスターミナルの北川にもKigu Tak Marketと呼ばれるマーケットがあった。
There was a market called "Kigu Tak Market" in the north of the bus terminal.
その他、Tibetan Marketや、Tibetan Gol Marketという観光客向けのマーケットもあった。
そんなレーは、街歩きと旧レー王宮見学程度しかしなかった。
ピンクのヒヨコを見つけた。
きっと染められてしまったんだろうなぁ、とかわいそうに思った。
We only did walking around the town and visited "Leh Khar" in Leh.
Also found a pink chicks and felt pity for them because they are probably dyed the color.
ここレーの前はマナリーにいたが、マナリーよりも物価が高いように感じる。
水も1lのもの1本25ルピー。
今まで訪れた、バラナシ、デリー、マナリーでは15から20ルピー(約40円)で買えていた。
I think the cost of living(traveling) in Leh is higher than Manali where I stayed before coming here.
A bottle of 1l water cost 25 rupees.
It cost in between 15 to 20 rupees(about U.S.45cents) in those places I visited which are Varanasi, Delhi, and Manali.
そんなレーには2泊し、明日、スリナガルに向かいます。
18時間のローカルの夜行バス。
あんまりきつくないと良いのだけれど。。。
We stayed here in Leh for 2 nights and will head to Srinagar.
We will take a local night bus which will take about 18 hours.
Hopefully it will be not too bad...
