Going to Belize!

さて。
ここはチェトマル、メキシコ。
メキシコとベリーズの国境の町。
朝6時に起きて日の出を見てきました！

地図も見ずに、行き当たりばったり(笑)
行きと帰りを違う道にしたので、帰りにちょっと迷ったけど、
誰にも道を聞かずに、無事ホテルに戻ってきました♪
日の出を見るなんて、旅立ちにふさわしいと思いませんか？？？

今日はこれからベリーズのビザをゲットし、そのままベリーズへ、
そしてキーカーカーという島へ！
この旅初の陸上の国境越え！

ビザは大使館に取りに行きます！
ホテルから徒歩30分くらい。
タクシー乗れば数百円だけど、運動、運動(笑)
昨日、場所も確認しにいったし、バッチリ、なはず！

Well.
Here Chetumal, Mexico.
Border town of Belize and Mexico.
I got up at 6:00am for see sunrise this morning!

Without looking at map, I just started walking!(laughs)
I chose the different way to go to the place for sunrise and back from there, and I could made myself back to the hotel without asking the way to any people even was a little lost on the way back!

I think it is good to see sunrise when heading to new place, don't you think???


I'm gonna get a visa for Belize, move to Belize, then to Caye Caulker(one of the island in Caribbean)
Today is the first time for this trip of crossing the border on land!

I'm going to go to Belize embassy to get the visa!
About 30 minutes walk from the hotel.
It is several dollers if you are riding taxi, 
but for my health, I'm gonna walk.(laughs)

I went to check the place, so it should be no problem!

Finally I've arrived here, Isla Mujeres!

わーい！
ようやくイスラムヘーレスに着きました！

といっても、2日前の夜。。。
昨日は一日中寝てました。
疲れから来たのであろう食あたりによって。

そう、一昨日の朝６時に、サンクリストバル発、2つの滝とパレンケの遺跡をめぐり、パレンケの町まで送ってくれるツアーに参加して。
その日の夜はそのままパレンケからメリダへの夜行バスに乗り。
メリダに着いたらツェツェンイッツァ行きのバスに乗り。
ツェツェンイッツァ観光をし、カンクン行きのバスに乗り、
カンクンはすっ飛ばして、コレクティーボで船着場に行き、ボートに乗って、ここイスラムヘーレスに着きました。
ホテルに着いたときにはもちろん体調不良、何もやる気もおきず、そのまま寝て。そのまま翌日も同様。
ようやく、自分の年に気付かされたというか、前に旅していた時ほど若くない。
今後はいろいろと注意しようと思います。

大分回復したといえども、確かにまだ気分はよくなっていないのだけど、私の一つの目標地点であったここ、イスラムヘーレス、すっごくきれいなビーチに来ているのだし、何かしないとなぁって思って、明日のダイビングツアーを予約しました！



Yes!!! 
I finally arrived here in Isla Mujeres...

two days ago at night time.
I slept all day yesterday because I felt really bad maybe because of the food poisoning due to fatigue.
I took a tour in San Crisobal to Palenque which takes me two water falls and Palenque(ruin) starting at 6:00am and take me to Palenque(city). Then that night, I took a night bus from Palenque to Merida and changed a bus to Chichen Itza!
After I did sightseeing in Chichen Itza, I took bus to Cancun and then colectivos and a boat to here in Isla Mujeles.
But the time I arrived this hostel, I felt really bad and didn't want to do anything and strait to te bed...even for the next day...
I realized I'm not young as when I used travelled...
Well I will take care of myself more from now...

I still don't feel good, but I thougt I better get start moving because this is one of my big destination in Mexico, beautiful beach!!! and reserved a scuba diving tour for tomorrow!

Chichen Itza

念願のチェチェンイッツァに行ってきました！
暑かった。とにかく暑くて、実際しんどかったです。
しんどかったのは、夜行バスでの移動明けっていうのもあるかもしれませんが。
が、やっぱり迫力はすごかったです。
I went to Chichen Itza long-sought!
Was sooooooooooooooo hot.
Because of the heat, it was really hard walking around the ruins in fact.
Maybe not only heat but also I took a night bus from Palenque to come here... 
But it was really impressive.

ガイドブックすらなかったけれど、
ガイドを頼むと高いので、ガイドは頼まず、
自分のペースで分からないなりに見て回ってみました！
I even didn't have a guide book,
I didn't have a guide because it was soo expensive.
I walked around the ruins my own pace without any knowledge!

これが行くまでの道のり。
on the way

パレンケからメリダには、朝の5時に着き、
メリダから6時発のバスに乗りました。
このバスは72ペソでした。
I arrived at Merida from Palenque 5am
and I took another bus from Merida to Chichen Itza at 6am.
The cost was 72 pesos.

途中かなりの乗降者があって、約3時間後に到着
The bus stopped a lot for people getting off and on...
And it took about 3 hours to get to Chichen Itza

これがチケットオフィス。
チェチェンイッツァでは、2つの入場料を払わないといけないらしい。

We have to pay two kind of entrance fee here in Chichen Itza.

なんと、荷物預けるのは無料だとか。
入場料高いだけあるなぁ、ってちょっとだけ感心。
We don't have to pay for the luggage service.
Maybe because of expensive entrance fee, it can cover for it easily...
but it impressed me a little bit.

そうそう、遺跡見学はおそらく長くなるだろうから、トイレに行かないと、と。
トイレ、きれい！！！
流れるのもセンサーだし。
さすが、世界中からの観光客が訪れる場所なんだなぁ、と思いました。
Yeah, I better go the restrooms before visiting ruins.
This restrooms are so clean for in Mexico! ! !

さて。入場。
これが、高いガイド料金。
And I entered.
This is the price for the guide.
So expensive.

ほぼしっかり英語表記もされている。
Most of the descriptions are Spanish and English.

これでチェチェンイッツァ観光終了。
11時半頃で、気温がどんどん上がっているっていうのに、
これから見学する人がたくさんいることに、すごく驚きました。。。
I finished walking around Chichen Itza.
I was really surprised because there are so many people come visit here,
even though it is around 11:30am and the temperature is going up steadily...

私はここからカンクンへの移動。
お土産屋さんの奥に、チケットカウンターあり。
I'm heading to Cancun from here.
There is a ticket counter for the bus in the back of the souvenir shop.

メリダかカンクンでチケットを買ったら122ペソだったと思うのだけど、
ここで買うと、130ペソ。
I think we can buy same ticket with 122 pesos in Merida or Cuncun,
but here, we have to pay 130 pesos.

チケット購入後は屋外でバス待ち。
ツアーバスがたくさん止まっているあたりで、バス停のサインも椅子もないところで待つ。
定刻はあるけれど、やっぱり遅れることもあり、今回は30分ほど遅れての到着でした。
After purchasing the bus ticket, I had to wait outside of the building,
so I don't miss the bus.
There are many buses from tour company in the parking lot.
Waiting area for the bus is around that erea 
and there were no signs for the bus stop nor, chairs for people waiting for the bus.
Threre is a schedule for the bus, but of course, the bus may be late for the time.
The bus I took was 30 minutes behind for the schedule...
