lost my backpack!!!

バックを紛失してしまいました。

その中には、PC、日記、ガイドブック、辞書、友達に夢を書いてもらっている“DREAM NOTE PROJECT”のノート、iPod、等々。。。

空港からのタクシー。

空港で手続きするタクシーなら安心だろうと思って選んだタクシー。

タクシーのトランクには入れたと思うのだけど、確かに、ドライバーがトランクを閉めるのを確認しなかったんだよなぁ～。

タクシーを降りた時、ない！

とりあえずホテルに着いて、チェックイン。

すぐ空港に戻って、タクシー会社の人と話したり、空港の遺失物取扱いの場所へ。。。

もちろんあるはずなく、タクシー会社の人からは、月曜日(今日は金曜日)の朝に電話するように言われた。

仕方がない。出直すしかない。。。

お腹も空いたし、ご飯。

やっぱり空港は高い。これで6ドルとかだ。。。

お金もなくなってなければ、パスポートもなくなっていない。

結局これは、日本のゆるーい生活に慣れすぎた私への教訓だったのかなぁ？

にしても、“DREAM NOTE PROJECT”のノートがなくなるなんて。。。

これまで書いてもらった人に悪すぎる。。。

本当にごめんなさい。

現状20人くらいに書いてもらっていたのだけど、皆様にお手紙を書くことにしました。

紙を同封させてもらって、再度、夢を書いてもらうよう、お願いしようと思います！

ご協力、お願いします。

さて、新しい素敵なノートを探さないと。。。

I lost my backpack!

We had our PC, note for "DREAM NOTE PROJECT"(which I ask my friends to write about their dream and I've got about 20 dreams in it!), the diary, Mexico guidebook, dictionaries, iPod, and so on inside of the backpack!

The taxi from the airport. 

I chose to take an taxi which I can get the ticket for it in airport, because I thought it should be safe...

I think I put the backpack in the trunk because I thought whether I should put it in the trunk or just take it with me before take it in the trunk.

The bad thing is that I didn't check when the driver closed the trunk, I was inside of the taxi by then.

When we get off the taxi, we couldn't find the backpack!

Well, we were in front of the hotel we are gonna stay, so we checked in and went back to the airport.

We asked the taxi company whether they find my backpack or not.

And we also checked the office for lost and found... of course we couldn't find the backpack...

The person from the taxi company told us to call them on Monday morning(it is Friday today).

We cannot do anything anymore.

We did all we could do, we thought, that time.

And felt hungry...so went to restaurant.

It cost us about 6 dollars, is expensive for in Mexico, isn't it?

Oh well, it is the price for inside of the airport...

We didn't lose our passport or any money, either.

Maybe this was one of the teaching for me...I was so used to living in too comfortable life in Japan.

I feel so bad to my friends who already wrote in the note for "DREAM NOTE PROJECT".

I am so sorry...

I cannot believe I lost the note.

I decided to write letters to whom already wrote in the note.

And ask them write their dream again in the paper I sent with the letter.

I will thank you if you corporate with it!

I get to find a new nice book!

Las Vegas to Mexico city

ラスベガスからメキシコシティーへ。
ラスベガスのホテルから空港はかなり近く、タクシーで10分もかからなかった。

飛行機で約3時間。時差2時間。
Volarisという航空会社の飛行機。
2人分で約5万円。
機内預入の荷物が15kgまで、手荷物が10kgまで。
手荷物は2つまでで、なんとタグまで付けるという厳重さ。
機内食はなく、ジュースだけ出た。

ちなみに、安い航空会社だから、機内食はもちろん期待していなかったので、
飛行機の待ち時間の間に、サンドウィッチをパクリ。
これに救われたのでした。。。

機内からグランドキャニオンが見えないかなぁ？とか思っていたけど、
グランドキャニオンは機体の右側に見えたらしく、
私が乗った左側からは、見えず。。。

Volarisって、この旅始めるまで全然知らない会社だったけど、全体的に、悪くないフライトでした！



From Las Vegas to Mexico city.
The way to airport from the hotel we stayed took only less than 10 mins by taxi.

It was about 3 hours trip from Las Vegas to Mexico city.
And time difference is 2 hours ahead in Mexico city.

The costs for the flight was about 500 dollars for 2 persons.
The flight was with Volaris.

Carry on luggage : 10kg within 2 pieces and they tag, too!
Carry in luggege : 15kg

They didn't serve meals within flight just drinks.

The flight is like LLC, so I didn't expect any meals within flight, so I ate sandwich before getting on the airplane.
This really saved me from starving...

I expected to see Grand Canyon from the airplane, but not from my side(left)
I should've  reserved the left side seat..

I didn't know Volaris until I started planning this travel, but the flight was not bad at all!

Arriving NY!

NY着。14時15分着。
が、入国手続きに並ぶこと、1時間強。
飛行機は早めに降りたと思ったんだけどなぁ。。。
アメリカでの入国手続きは長くかかるようなので、みなさま心構えを！

なんだかんだ空港出たのは16時半とかで、
ホステルへ移動して、チェックインできたのは18時ごろだった。。。
部屋はちょー狭い部屋に2段ベッド。
ベッドのサイズ程度も通路がない！

ここに6泊。。。

夕食を取るため外出。
カフェバーのような場所でアメリカナイズされたメキシカン。
ワインもこみ、チップ不要、アメリカでこれで42ドル程度ならOKでしょう。

結局二人にして食べられず、持ち帰り。。。

長旅にも疲れていたので、この日はコンビニに寄って帰りました。

Arrived in NY at 2:15pm.
But there were a long line for immigracion and waiting for going throgh took us more than an hour!
I thought we got out of the airplane quickly...
Well immigration in the State took long, so just letting you.

By the time we left the airport was like 4:30pm,
and moved to the hostel we are staying and finished check-in was like 6:00pm.
The room is so small!!!
A bump bed and the passage is smaller space than the bed is!

We are staying here for 6 nights...

We went out for having dinner.
We found a place like cafe-bar and the food we order was Americanized-Mexican food.
The price was about 42 doller including a bottle of wine and no need of tip, we thought it was a good price for that.

We couldn't finish those food and brought back some to the hostel.

We were so tired from long airplane trip so, just stop by convinience store and went back to the hostel.

Arriving NYC...JFK air port!

ニューヨークに着きました！
が、まだ入国できず！
只今現地時間で、４月８日の午後３時半。
この長蛇の列に四十分強並んでます。
飛行機15時間も乗ってたのに↓
さて、今晩は何しようかな…
Arrived new york!
But not yet enter the usa.
Here it is 15:30 8th april now.
Been waiting on this looooong line for more than 40mins!
Was on the air plane for about 15 hours and now have to wait like this!
Have no plan tonight...

stop over in Shanghai

乗り継ぎで上海へ。
プードン空港とホンキャオ空港の間のホテル。
地下鉄から徒歩5分程度。
上海タワーから徒歩30分程度。

16時半上海着だったので、移動とチェックインの時間を考えると、
夜景散歩できる程度かなぁって思っていたけど、
本当にそのとおりの時間くらいしかなかった。

けど、見れてよかった。
上海タワー以外、どれが有名なビルなのかとか、よくわからなかったけど、
見る角度によって形が違うように見えるデザインのビルを見たり、
いろいろな高層ビルに圧倒されたり、
夜景散歩も楽しめたと思う。

あと、ちょっとだけだけど、中国料理も食べることができた。

We stayed at Shanghai for transit.
The hostel we stayed was between the airport and Pudong Hongqiao, 5 minutes walk from the subway, 30 minutes walk from the Shanghai Tower.

Considering the time of check-in and move after arriving at Shanghai at 4:30pm, I thought I will only have enough time to walk at night and enjoy night view, was only as of the time really.

Time was really short, but I'm glad that I got to see it.
Except for Shanghai Tower, I had no idea which towers are the famous buildings,
one of those, I could see differently depending of the viewing angle!
And I enjoyed looking all other buildings!
I think I enjoy the night view walk.

Also, I just a little though, I got to eat the Chinese cuisine.

money, credit card, travelers check...

先日、お金の準備も整いました！
ずっと貯めてた五百円玉貯金、二缶。
十万円のと三十万円。
十万円のは、まだ入るようだったけど、二缶合わせて、四十万円をギリギリ越えてました！

money for my next travel has been all set a few days ago!
two of my money saving boxes...one is for 100,000yen, and another for 300,000yen.
Though there were still little space for some more coins in 100,000yen one, I could save barely over 400,000yen!!!

アメックスのにしてみました◎
今後は円安も進むかと思って、多めに…
それから、クレジットカードも作りました♪
アメックスを新たに追加。
年会費はかかるけど、マイレージ失効を防げるから◎
年会費1500円でアメックスの優待を受けられる(ラウンジ利用とか)からなかなかオススメカード。
ここに更に、１０年近く使っているインターナショナルキャッシュカードを加えて、旅のお金の準備完了！
I've changed those money into traveler's cheque.
I chose American Express one.
And I chose to exchange bit a lot because Japanese yen might be more weak...

Not only traveler's cheque, I made a new credit card.
American Express one! 
I have to pay annual fee, the lapse of a mile can be prevented. 
Because this card is mileage card.
Only paying about 1500yen and I can get also get the american express advantage such as staying the lounges for the members at airports.

Additionally, I get to bring my international cash card which I've been using for nearly 10 years, my preparation of money for the next travel is all set!
