Pune where I went to meet Jinks

 11th OCT to 13th OCT 2014

ジンクス(アジンキャ)は、「世界青年の船」というプログラムで一緒だった友人の一人。

彼に、ムンバイの近くのプネーに住んでいて、ムンバイに来るなら、ぜひプネーにも寄って欲しいといわれ。

ムンバイで特にしたいこともないし、会えるなら会いたいし、

予定を調整して、プネーに行くことにした。

Jinks(Ajinkya) is one of my friends from SWY20.

He asked me to come to Pune where he lives if I go to Mumbai.

I didn't have any social thing that I want to do, but wanted to meet him again.

I thought about my schedule in Mumbai and put Pune in it.

ムンバイから電車に揺られ4時間。

プネーに到着したのが夕方6時を回っていて、駅からは夕日がきれいに見えた。

駅にジンクスが迎えにきてくれた。

It took 4 hours from Mumbai to get to Pune by train.

And it was after 6pm I arrived Pune and I could see the beautiful sunset from the station.

He came to the railway station to pick me up.

ラッシュアワーということで、そこから更に1時間ほどかけてジンクス宅に到着。

普段だったら15分とか20分とからしいけれど。

おうちでは、ご家族とご挨拶。

それから、奥さんのヤショラが夕食を作ってくれ、到着した日はお話したり、ゆっくりさせてもらったりした。

It took us about 1 hour to go to his home by car because of rush hour.

He told me it takes only 15-20mins normally.

In his home, I met his family of course, and his wife Yashora cooked dinner for us,

we just talked and be relaxed for the 1st day in Pune.

2日目は盛りだくさん。

He entertain me a lot for the 2nd day.

おうちでは、ジンクスのお父さんが仏壇のようなものを、整えているのを見て。

I saw father of Jinks was putting the "house shrine" in order.

ジンクスと2人で出発。

まずはシャーニワル・ワーダへ。

入場料、外国人は100ルピー(約175円)インド人は5ルピー（約9円)。

ジンクスが出してくれてしまったけれど。。。

少しだけ歴史を話しながら案内してくれた。

外国人より地元の人が多かった。

I and Jinks went out together.

First, went to Shaniwar Wada.

The entrance fee was 100 rupee(about $1.6US) for foreigners and 5 rupees(about 10cents US) for the locals.

Junks paid it though...

He showed me around with a little explanations.

I couldn't see much foreigners but locals.

それから、アガカーン宮殿へ。

ガーンディーが軟禁されていた場所。

ここでも同様の入場料。またしてもジンクスが。。。ありがとう。

Then moved to Agakhan's Palace where Gandi was here for lenient confinement.

Same entrance fee, but again Jinks...thank you!

そこにあるカフェでスナックも食べ、

彼の友人のアムールも来て少し話した。

After seeing the palace, we had snack together.

And his friend Amul came and  talked a bit.

更に行こうと思っていたお寺。

行ってみたら閉まっていた。

まぁそんなこともある。

Another place he was gonna take me to...a temple, 

we went, but it was closed.

It can happen of course.

それから一旦おうちに帰ってお昼。

そこで、私がムンバイに戻るためのバスチケットも手配してくれた。

少しだけゆっくりした。

We went back to his home, and had lunch and being relaxed.

Also he took me the bus ticket to Mumbai.

今度はヤショラも一緒に3人で出発。

ラジャー・ケールカル博物館。

ジンクスは車の中で待っていて、ヤショラと2人で見学。

入場料は高く、外国人は200ルピー。(約350円)

インド人料金は分からないけど、ヤショラが出してくれ。。。何から何まで本当にありがとう。

見学し始めた時間もちょっと遅かったけど、閉館ギリギリの夕方6時までいた。

We went out again but this time with Yashora, too, so 3 of us.

Raja Kelkar Museum.

Jinks stayed in the car and I and Yashora went together.

Entrance fee was expensive and 200 rupees for foreigners.

I don't know the price for locals, but Yashora paid...thank you for anything and everything.

We started visiting there bit late, but we stayed there till the closing time which was 6pm.

帰り際に1軒のお店に寄り、パニプリをいただいた。

On the way home, we stopped by a store,

they let me try pani-puri.

帰宅したのは7時半頃だったかなぁ。

ゆっくりさせてもらい。。。

翌日は6時に出発だなんて！

I think we went back home around 7:30...

Again we were relaxed at home.

I couldn't believe that I'm leaving here tomorrow 6 in the morning!

翌朝は5時過ぎに目覚め。

ヤショラとジンクスのお母さんがご飯を作っていた。

私も出発の準備。

と、バスの間に食べる用のご飯を準備しくれ、更に封筒をいただいた。

I got up little after 5am.

Yashora and mother of Jinks was fixing meal.

I started preparing myself to leave.

They fixed boxed lunch for during my bus journey, and gave an emvelop to me...

お世話になりっぱなしだったのに、今回こそ、本当に申し訳ないくらいだと感じた。
そんな恩は、私もまた誰かに何かをしてあげることで返していこう。
They did so much for me, and this time, I really felt it is too much.
But I also thought I can do something to others to pass this appreciation.

そして、朝食後6時に出発。
ジンクスがバスターミナルまで送ってくれた。
And we left at around 6am.
Junks took me to the bus terminal.

本当に、会えたら、一緒にお話ができれば、それだけで十分と感じるのに、
色々と連れてってくれたり、お世話になりっぱなしで、大感謝でした。
本当にありがとう！
プネー、しっかり楽しみました。
I really think I would be more than happy just to meet you, talk with you...
you took me many places and did so much for me, I appreciate you so much.

I of course enjoyed Pune, I'm glad to come here to visit.

次は2018年かな?
SWY20の10周年の同窓会、きっと私もオーガナイザーの一人になって頑張ろうと思うから。
きっと日本に来てね！待ってます！
Probably next time we see each other will be 2018?
10th reunion of SWY20, I will be one of the organizer and do something.
Please come to Japan, I will be waiting for you!
